The UK’s most successful buy and sell store chain, Cash Generator operates over 70 stores and franchises throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
In one of the UK’s earliest Christmas campaigns, the Bolton based marketing agency were tasked with promoting Cash Generator’s ‘spread the cost of Christmas campaign’ linked to in-store POS, a national mailshot and regional press and radio campaigns.

This year Cash Generator, which bills itself as ‘the friendliest buy, sell and loan store in the world’, is taking the environmentally friendly step of asking its customers to recycle unwanted gifts. Customers can bring their unwanted items to any store in Britain and exchange them for cash (ID required) or part exchange them against this years must have Christmas gifts. So far in 2007, Cash Generator have seen a significant increase in product recycling at some of its stores and the company are expecting to see this spread throughout the country around Christmas.
Central to the Christmas campaign, Cash Generator are issuing customers with an alternative to credit card spending in spreading the cost of Christmas. Customers at Cash Generator will be able to order gifts now and pay later, with 12 interest free weekly instalments in the run up to Christmas. This offer is available on all items over £20 and 20% deposit is required to secure each item.
Marketing Director, Daniel Lewis comments: “Rather than rack up huge credit card bills, we want to help customers spread the cost of Christmas, by making 12 interest free weekly payments on items at their local Cash Generator store.
