Daniel Corby 118 trades appoints design guru to review branding
Daniel Corby, the founder and CEO of 118 trades is preparing for major growth in the coming year. Ahead of this growth, Daniel Corby has appointed Black Pig and Space & Time design to review the brand positioning of the sub brands owned by 118 group
[UKPRwire, Wed Sep 06 2006] Daniel Corby, the founder and CEO of fast growing internet business, 118 Group, which includes 118 trades, 118gethitched, 118telecoms, 118mobile, Fido Local and Car Auto has appointed Black Pig and Space and Time Design to review the brand positioning of the various companies within the group.
Speaking about the appointment, Daniel Corby said “it is really important that each of our brands conveys the right message and holds a dominant position within each sector that we operate in. The group has grown very quickly and we’re now looking to reposition the various brands within each sector to ensure we maximise the return from each brand. The group started life in 2005 with 118 trades, which quickly became the UK’s leading directory service of tradespeople and businesses with checkable references. The portfolio now includes 118telecom – a reseller of memorable numbers, 118gethitched – a wedding directory service, 118mobile – a new start business to business reseller of mobile phones with a strong emphasis on value, Carauto – a new web based service launching in q1 of 2007 to connect buyers with sellers and Fido Local – a new free pick up, advertising led magazine publishing business. Each brand must emphasise the value offering that we lead with and the unique selling points of our business. We have instructed both Space and Time design and Black Pig to review the brand positioning ahead of our major growth plans for 2007 / 2008, which may well include an AIM listing”
