Fast growing internet business, 118 trades is launching a new find and seek service to find your local plumber wherever you are
[UKPRwire, Thu Jul 27 2006] Daniel Corby, founder and CEO of 118 trades, the fast growing internet directory service based in the UK is launching a new seek and find text message service to find your local plumber.
Daniel Corby said "There are many times that you may be on a bus, on a train or just do not have access to a traditional directory or the internet and need a handy number for a local plumber. This new service from 118 trades is unique and will allow you to get the number wherever you are. You simply text the word PLUMBER to 80010 and in around 2 minutes time, our systems will have sent you an SMS with the name and contact number of your local reference checked plumber. This service is new and completely unique to us" adds Daniel Corby.
"We are constantly looking for new technology which makes life easier for us, and this is the next chapter. When you text the keyword to us, we locate and track your mobile signal. This is then put into a postcode map and checked with the 118 trades website. The closest plumber, based on post code is then texted back in SMS format within the minute. The cost is just 45 pence per text"
Other trade classifications will be added in quarter 3 of 2006 if demand on the PLUMBER search is there. The cost of the service is provided by 118 trades and the network passes on a 45 pence per text charge to the user.
118 trades has 40,000 members, with plumbers being one of the key searches by classification.
118 trades is based in Chelmsford, Essex and is part of the wider 118 group.
118 trades now covers around 75% of the UK population with plans to be truly national by December 2006.
