[UKPRwire, Sat Feb 03 2007] HASGROVE, the marketing, design, PR and lobbying company founded by TV presenter Rob McLoughlin and former top accountant Godfrey Taylor, has revealed its first acquisition since its £22.5m AIM float last autumn.
The Quay-Street based company, the name behind PR agency Connectpoint, Flent PR, Carm Media, Spirit Marketing and graphic design firm The Chase, has splashed out £1.59m on Cabinet Stewart, a Brussels-based EU public affairs consultancy.
Hasgrove will initially pay £743,260 for the company, with the balance paid over the next three years.
Cabinet Stewart will be merged with Hasgrove's existing Brussels-based EU public affairs business, Interel, creating one of the largest such consultancies.
Chief executive Rod Hyde (pictured) said: "Interel and Cabinet Stewart are extremely complementary, both in client mix and expertise. The combination of the two operations will create a leadership position in the fast-growing market for EU public affairs consultancy services."
