[UKPRwire, Mon Mar 16 2009] In 1984, Peter Trant, the present Managing Director of Net-Consulting joined the army as a data telegraphist. Later on, he moved into systems engineering before finally becoming an advanced physical training instructor. As an instructor in unarmed combat and sports coach, he also organized various sporting competitions gaining international participation and was responsible for the fitness of over 400 soldiers. He went from a private soldier to full corporal in 18 months and came first in his promotion course to sergeant winning an award in doing so. However he decided to leave the army and pursue a career in business.
He believes it was his training, discipline and telecom experience in the army that enables him to provide his clients with the highest quality of service. Standards in the army are very high, attention to detail sometimes was extreme, even a finger print on your brass would be picked up. However, I can boast that I never did get a “show parade” in my entire career. A show parade is a punishment you get for not being up to scratch.
Prior to his success at Net-Consulting International, he was employed as a recruitment consultant with another IT recruitment company and during that time he won various internal awards for best salesman. He started the mobile telecom table from scratch which today makes up 45% of the company’s turnover and put them well and truly in the international market. “Before I joined the company they only worked in a handful of countries, now they work in same amount as me, only it took me half the time to achieve it. What I am particularly proud of is that I started the company from scratch, no clients, no CV’s, just a will to develop a successful company. However, I became disillusioned with the management of the company and decided to take up an offer with one of my clients”.
In 2004, Peter Trant took over Net-Consulting International as owner and Managing Director. In the first year, he took this company from a loss to a healthy profit.
