PetPlanet.co.uk Sponsored Flyball Team Reaches Crufts
PetPlanet.co.uk are very pleased to announce that its co-sponsored Flyball Team, which features 3 PetPlanet staff members, has qualified for this years Crufts.
[UKPRwire, Tue Feb 12 2008] PetPlanet.co.uk are very pleased to announce that its co-sponsored Flyball Team, which features 3 PetPlanet staff members, has qualified for this years Crufts.
PetPlanet and the Scottish SPCA jointly sponsor the team, known as Clyde Valley Flyers, and the team features staff from both organisations. PetPlanet’s Chief buyer Helen-Jane Innes, General Manager Yvonne Jack and Donna-Claire Nimmo, the newest member of the team, all feature alongside their dogs.
The link up with the Scottish SPCA is fitting as two of the team dogs, Jura and Maddie, are rescue dogs. Jura was adopted during the foot-and-mouth crisis in 2001 when the farmer who bred her was not allowed to sell his puppies whilst Maddie came from Scottish SPCA in Balerno, Edinburgh.
After months of training, and following qualification at the Crufts’ Qualifier tournament in May last year, the team has now gone on to qualify for Crufts itself. Only two qualifying competitions are held in Scotland, with the winners and the runners-up of each qualifying to compete in the world’s largest dog show.

Crufts will be taking place from the 6th – 9th March 2008 at the NEC, Birmingham and is expected to host almost 23,000 dogs.
