Reliance Secure Task Management win RoSPA's coveted Gold Award or Occupational Safety for its commitment to the health and safety of employees and prisoners in its care.

[UKPRwire, Wed Apr 15 2009] Reliance Secure Task Management, a division of Reliance Security Group Ltd has received the prestigious Gold Award for Occupational Safety from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

The Gold Award recognises the company’s commitment to continuously improving the health and safety of its employees and the prisoners in its care.

Simon Marshall, Director of Operations for Reliance Secure Task Management, said: “This is an impressive achievement as RoSPA have one of the longest running and most respected occupational awards programmes.

“There are four levels of awards of which the Gold is the highest.

“We entered these awards as a tangible way of demonstrating our commitment to continuously improving health and safety and we are delighted to have struck gold.”

To win the award Reliance had to demonstrate and evidence:

• Commitment of Directors and Senior management to heath and safety with the involvement of staff and their representatives in the management of health and safety
• Excellent occupation health and safety management systems
• Rigorous training in health and safety
• High levels of compliance with control measures and active monitoring of performance and principal risks
• Below average and reducing rates of near misses, accidents and work related ill health and loss.
