[UKPRwire, Thu May 15 2008] Delapena Honing Equipment’s new automatic feed system adds a new level of control to the already versatile and efficient Powerhone vertical honing solution.

The competitively priced Powerhone is ideal for large and heavy components in small to medium size batches and is ideal for both through and blind bores from 1” (25.4mm) to 35.5” (900mm) in diameter. The Powerhone offers precision honing and maximum power via a highly efficient hydraulic stroking motor. Stable machine design, accurate and repeatable stroking movement, the capacity to short stroke at any position and a wide bore diameter range all combine to provide a versatile honing solution for a wide variety of honing applications

The user friendly control offers a digital cycle timer and includes control of the feed unit. As standard, the Powerhone is supplied with an automatic feed system. An Auto friction feed system is also available enabling the machine operator to adjust feed rates without stopping the machine and reduces operator involvement in the honing process.
