[UKPRwire, Mon Sep 18 2006] Contrary to popular myths, City jobseekers are less likely to lie on CV’s than previously believed. In a poll conducted by eFinancialcareers.com – the world’s leading online finance recruiting website – data shows that an overwhelming 75.5% of respondents would never lie on a CV as “it being unethical.”
However, a significant 18% did confess to “white lies and exaggerations” with 5% openly admitting to “fabricating information.”

‘At a time when industry players are making hiring decisions more quickly – as much as 30% more so in June and July this year than last year – employers must remain acutely aware that the desire of a candidate to succeed can lead them to misrepresent on their CV.
