Halifax today announces that it will again be offering its generous student account to those going to university this September. In 2011/2012 students applying for the Halifax account will continue to benefit from an interest free overdraft of up to £3,000, the best available in the market.

In 2011/2012 students applying for the Halifax account will continue to benefit from an interest free overdraft of up to £3,000, the best available in the market.

The Halifax Student Current Account is available to new and existing customers from 18th August 2011 and provides:

- An interest free overdraft of up to £3,000 for up to five years – plus an extra year after graduation
- A Visa Debit Card

- Free 24hr telephone and online banking
