Advanced ‘Intelligent matching’ function streamlines AP processes, boosts efficiency and auditability, and cuts costs

Contempus.Invoice 2007, from Component Software, features new and innovative functionality for advanced, intelligent matching of purchase invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes. This enables users to realise substantial efficiency improvements in administration processes, significant cost savings, and increased levels of control and traceability. The company claims this is a unique feature in the AP sector.

Contempus.Invoice 2007 includes a new matching engine (Intelligent MatchingTM) that automatically cross-references incoming supplier invoices with orders and checks the status on header and line levels, based on available data. This quickly establishes if the invoice is within established parameters for approval, accelerating processes and enhancing auditability.

When the control procedure has been completed based on the information prepared by Intelligent Matching, the Contempus engine can automatically process the invoice and pass it for payment within the due date.

In cases of irregularities, such as an item priced above the expected level, Contempus.Invoice 2007 includes routines for initiation of dispute handling, directed towards suppliers through the self-service Contempus.Supplier portal.
