Developed specifically for large hotel groups in the UK, the unique new EcoTunnel System is designed for laundering between 250 and 500kg per hour. Compared to using conventional washer extractors, it offers astounding energy savings of 80%, water savings of 75% and 50% savings in labour and detergent costs.
The unique new EcoTunnel System is a smaller, high efficiency five-compartment development of Girbau’s acclaimed TBS-50 batch washing system, used successfully in larger commercial laundries (processing 1000kg or more per hour) throughout the world. Large UK hotels and groups needing to process around 250 to 500kg per hour can now leverage the outstanding efficiency benefits of batch washing for the first time. Substantial carbon emissions savings mean that investing in a new EcoTunnel System could potentially allow access to interest-free Carbon Trust funding.*

The typical Girbau EcoTunnel System comprises a five-stage batch washer, an SPR-50 press and two ST-100 dryers. The system is highly adaptable with six and seven-stage variants also available for those laundries looking to increase capacity over 500kg per hour.
The EcoTunnel System comes complete with Girbau’s unique engineering maintenance and technical support package which means laundries do not need a trained in-house engineer. Purchasers of a Girbau EcoTunnel System are allocated a dedicated Girbau engineer with detailed knowledge of every aspect of the system. Each system is also fitted with an automatic modem link to Girbau UK headquarters in Hitchin and the manufacturing plant in Barcelona, Spain. Girbau will constantly monitor each system and provide ongoing remote diagnostics, fault finding and preventative maintenance.
