Hayward Tyler Seawater Lift Units Selected for New Indonesia Platforms
Hayward Tyler Ltd, a leading manufacturer of pumps and motors for the oil and gas industry, has been contracted to supply two seawater lift pumps for a new ConocoPhillips platform off Indonesia in the Natuna Sea.
[UKPRwire, Tue Feb 13 2007] Hayward Tyler Ltd, a leading manufacturer of pumps and motors for the oil and gas industry, has been contracted to supply two seawater lift pumps for a new ConocoPhillips platform off Indonesia in the Natuna Sea.
Located in the North Belut field, the platform will cost $500 million to build and requires the construction of a Central Processing Platform (CPP), two wellhead platforms (WHP) and calls for 23km of 20inch intra-field pipeline. The CPP eight-legged jacket alone is expected to weigh around 5,500 tonnes, with the total platform weighing up to 11,000 tonnes.
To cope with the dual demands of the environment and the anticipated production requirements of the platform, the two Hayward Tyler F1[9] 6 stage pumps have been specifically built with NiAlBronze (Nickel Aluminium Bronze) and installed with MBZ8-40 30 kW motors that each have a flow of 170 USgpm, 3600/- rpm. These pumps will be located in 300ft of water.

The first stage of delivery is scheduled for July 2007, with the second stage due late 2008.
