ITESOFT.Share v2.1 Launches: Electronic Document Management, Workflow, and Total SAP® Integration
New version of ITESOFT.Share offers seamless integration into the SAP® environment, adds extranet features and the ability to regenerate electronic data flows (EDI, XML etc)
[UKPRwire, Wed Apr 18 2007] ITESOFT, a leading developer of automatic document capture and information flow processing solutions, has announced the release of version 2.1 of its ITESOFT.Share product line, dedicated to electronic document management (EDM) and workflow.
ITESOFT.Share brings ‘images’ to SAP® transactions, giving users a way to simultaneously access business data and related electronic documents (such as scanned invoices, orders, and mail), from within their regular applications.
The new ITESOFT.Share version 2.1 rounds out the integration solution by adding compatibility for Max DB, the SAP® RDBMS, and by providing access from SAP® Portal. In September 2006, ITESOFT.Share received “Powered by SAP® NetWeaver” certification, confirming the quality of its communication features with SAP® Web Application Server.
With these additions, ITESOFT.Share is now a complete electronic document management and workflow solution that communicates seamlessly with SAP®. The application retains its previous features, such as standalone mode (for use outside SAP®) with its own interface, a web client, search and look-up functions, and document circulation via webflow.
ITESOFT.Share v2.1 includes extranet features that enable any of the company’s authorised clients, suppliers, or partners to connect to the application and check their file status, invoice payment status and more, independently. Extranet features are totally secure, using SSL encryption and partner space partitioning to ensure privacy of data and images over the Internet.
ITESOFT.Share v2.1 offers electronic flow regeneration features. Electronic data is laid out using style sheets, adapted for each type of document, thus creating a virtual image of the document that can be easily viewed using a computer screen. This enables authorised users to look-up, manage, and circulate all these kinds of documents in a homogenous format, without altering the original data in any way.
They also benefit from the same handling rules, ease-of-use and comfortable user interface for processing documents delivered in paper format as for those delivered electronically. This assists in global electronic document capture projects which involve consolidating both paper and electronic flows within a single process.
