Security Firm Scoops Top Accolade at National Industry Awards With Integrated IP Installations in Ox

[UKPRwire, Thu Oct 18 2007] Chris Lewis Security Services was thrilled to be presented with the award for ‘Best Large Security Installer’ at the Security Excellence Awards on 10th October. The fire and security installation company has been a finalist at the industry’s national awards for the last three years and this year the company was selected as finalists in all four of the categories it entered. To win the top accolade of ‘Best Large Security Installer’ is by far the most prestigious award the company has received to date.
The annual security industry awards recognise the achievements of individuals and companies from across the security industry. Chris Lewis, Managing Director of Chris Lewis Security Services was presented with the award at the jazz themed gala dinner on Wednesday 10th October. The judges commented, “The willingness to integrate systems and the display of IT expertise sets an example for all other UK security installers.”
Chris Lewis comments, “We have been selected as finalists at the Security Excellence Awards for the last three years. Last year our investment in IT and our expertise in Internet Protocol based technology won us the ‘Best IT Initiative’ category. But to go on to win the ‘Best Large Security Installer’ this year is by far the greatest achievement to date.”
The Best Security Installer (Large) Award is presented to the individual or company that has shown the highest standard of workmanship and customer support during the year. It is open to individuals, or companies employing 21 (or more) people.
Chris Lewis Security Services submitted two very different projects for the judge’s consideration: an integrated security, fire and building control system for Windrush Frozen Foods based in Witney, near Oxford, and an IP security system for a Buckinghamshire County Council application. Both projects earned high praises from the respective clients. The integrated system for Windrush made the building fully controllable, linking the access, fire and intruder alarms with the lighting, heating, H&V and window shutters. The client said it was “unusual to find a company that will go the extra mile to integrate the systems and not shy away from the challenge”. After the successful IP security installation at Buckinghamshire CC’s new Knowledge Centre, the client praised the “impressive skills” and “exceptional quality” of the company’s IT team and engineers.
