Alienation Digital the Glasgow based web design and digital marketing specialists is extending its offer to work free for a day for charities by laying on two seminars, one in London and one in Glasgow to help more charities. The offer is to mark the company's best ever performance.
[UKPRwire, Tue Aug 25 2009] Alienation Digital, the Glasgow-based web design and digital marketing specialist is extending its offer to work free for a day for charities by laying on seminars in Glasgow and London for 30 leading third sector organisations.
The company will also design and build a brand new website for Independent Special Education Advice Scotland a charity which helps children with additional support needs.
The Glasgow-based web design and digital marketing specialist was swamped by applications from over 200 charities across the UK and abroad when they made the offer, to celebrate their most successful year ever.
Managing Director Neil Barr said: “Due to the huge response, we decided to extend the offer of the company’s time and resources for a day by adding in two digital marketing seminars which will be held in September.
“By adding the digital marketing seminars to the event, we were able to broaden the scope of the charities we can help by inviting 30 organisations to take part.
“We will also design and build a new website for ISEA Scotland, a charity which enables children and young people with additional support needs to receive the specialist resources they need.”
The seminars, at the British Red Cross HQ in London and Alienation Digital’s offices in the Pentagon Centre Glasgow, will cover the basics of search engine optimisation, using social media for business and web analytics.
The purpose will be to give the chosen charities a grounding in how to attract and monitor visitors to their websites and to help them start up their own digital marketing campaigns, or to inform them about how to get the most out of an agency.
Neil Barr added: “We are incredibly excited about all aspects of the event, and are greatly looking forward to working with all of the charities that have been selected to take part.”
Grace Lee, Public Relations Officer for one of the successful charities, The Haven Wolverhampton, said: “We are extremely grateful to Alienation Digital for the opportunity of a free place at the seminar. We hope the skills and knowledge gained will help our charity make progress online, and in the media.”
The Haven Wolverhampton is one of the UK’s largest providers of refuge, temporary emergency accommodation and support services to women and children affected by domestic violence.
Other charities taking part include: Yorkhill Children’s Foundation, Cornerstone, Young Minds, British Youth Council, The Cure Parkinson’s Trust, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Down's Syndrome Scotland and the British Red Cross.
