COMPUTERLINKS develops virtualisation portfolio with Akorri performance management software

COMPUTERLINKS, the next generation distributor of IT security and Internet technology solutions, has today announced a distribution agreement in the UK and Ireland with Akorri, the virtual infrastructure performance and capacity management solution provider.

[UKPRwire, Mon Aug 02 2010] COMPUTERLINKS, the next generation distributor of IT security and Internet technology solutions, has today announced a distribution agreement in the UK and Ireland with Akorri, the virtual infrastructure performance and capacity management solution provider. The announcement follows COMPUTERLINKS' recent remodelling of its business to deliver margin-rich channel services around new and emerging technologies such as virtualisation, cloud computing and IP-based physical security.

Akorri’s virtual infrastructure performance management software, BalancePoint, is an analytics-based solution for server to storage performance analysis and capacity planning for both physical and virtual environments. It allows IT administrators to visualise their infrastructure, identify and troubleshoot performance problems, plan future capacity requirements and measure infrastructure service levels to demonstrate efficient resource utilisation.

The announcement follows COMPUTERLINKS’ launch in March this year of a new suite of virtualisation capacity planning, design and implementation services. It forms part of the distributor’s emerging Professional Services and Virtualisation portfolio for partners, which is being developed to support resellers delivering solutions across vendors such as Citrix, Microsoft, the Virtual Machine Company and VMware.

Further additions to the portfolio will be announced during August 2010 and the full suite of products and services will be on show at IP Expo on 20th – 21st October 2010.
