Toffa International adds Google Contacts to its on-line GooSync service.
[UKPRwire, Thu Oct 18 2007] A better, more efficient way of keeping Google contacts synced with your PDA is now possible thanks to GooSync.
Toffa International Limited, a leading developer in the mobile computing market, is adding Google Contacts, to its existing on-line service, GooSync, which already synchronizes a user’s Google Calendar with their mobile device.
Amongst the benefits of using Google Contacts, information can be added and amended either on line or on your PDA and then synced comfortably wirelessly so your PDA is always up-to-date. No more worries that PDA failure or theft will lead to losing valuable contact information.
The contacts are first synced to Toffa’s secure servers, available 24/7 and then, when ready can be imported into Google Contacts (or indeed any other contact database, such as Outlook.)
Toffa International’s Managing Director Chris Jukes, said, “Mobile users are tired of using multiple applications to synchronize different bits of data. Our users wanted a one-stop solution, especially for vital Calendars and Contacts. This is a major step towards that. Keeping Calendars and Contacts Synced and Safe is a priority for mobile users.”
Toffa launched GooSync in January 2007, since then over 100,000 users have been wirelessly synchronizing their appointments and events between their mobile device and their free on-line Google Calendar. Toffa’s latest addition to GooSync means that users will now be able to also import their Google Contact data and then synchronize this between their devices address book.
How it works
The GooSync service is based on the Toffa commercial synchronization engine, SyncWiseLive, which supports industry open standards (SyncML). GooSync is compliant with most of the latest mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs).
