A third of Codestone's workforce graduated from Bournemouth University
[UKPRwire, Mon Jun 18 2007] ALMOST a third of the workforce at technology company Codestone graduated from Bournemouth University.
Staff at the Poole-based software and IT hardware company are back on university campus putting their skills to good use revamping the existing computer system and improving access to it.
“One of Bournemouth University's greatest assets are the graduates who often come back to us through their links with industry," said Press and Public Relations Manager at Bournemouth University Charles Elder.
"It's great for us to see how successful they've become and for them to come back and share that success with us."
As part of a long-term trial Codestone’s technical team is installing Citrix Presentation Server and the Citrix Access Gateway – a server-based application that allows staff to access emails, student records and data securely from home or abroad.
And the team is improving accessibility of the University computer system so students of all disciplines can access their applications and course specific material no matter what their location is on campus.
Dan Hobson, managing director of Codestone, said: “Our staff who graduated from Bournemouth University have come from a number of departments – marketing, IT and graphic design. We’re consistently impressed with the standard of training they’ve received and the ease with which they adjust to work life.”
