antispameurope update expands content filter and search function

[UKPRwire, Thu Oct 29 2009] antispameurope has introduced new functions in its Managed E-mail Security Services with the extensive update of Version 3.6. The antispameurope Control Panel, which enables users and administrators to directly access protocol data, e-mails and settings, was expanded by adding a comfortable search function for the e-mail archive. The security specialists are also offering their users improved protection against undesired e-mail attachments with immediate effect.

The new search function not only includes full text search in archived e-mail content, but in the attached files as well. Apart from Word, Powerpoint and PDF, a large number of other file types can also be searched. According to antispameurope CEO Oliver Dehning, “important and frequently searched content is often sent as e-mail attachments. The new index is so efficient, that this information can be found in the e-mail archive at the push of a button."

The update will ensure that e-mail traffic is not only simpler, but safer too. The improved content filter blocks undesired data even when it is hidden in archived files, such as zipped files, for example. "This is our reaction to our customers’ requests," adds Oliver Dehning.

The update means that the antispameurope Control Panel is increasingly becoming a central hub for e-mail administrators. All incoming and outgoing e-mails are consistently recorded, whether they have been forwarded, put into quarantine or blocked. Thus administrators and users get full transparency over all e-mail traffic they have to deal with - an important contribution to saving time when handling the daily surge in e-mails.
