In a project designed and implemented by IT security consultancy Network Defence, Keoghs has cut the amount of spam reaching its network by 99%. The IT team can now deal with quarantined emails in minutes ensuring there is no delay in getting business critical emails to its staff.
Keoghs LLP was previously receiving around 6000 potential spam emails per week. This volume of spam would also contain around 400 legitimate business emails, all of which had to be manually checked before being released. This was a major drain on IT resources and potentially led to delays in business emails being received.
With the Mimecast solution now in place less than 0.05% of spam gets through and the time emails spend in quarantine has been reduced from two hours to a matter of minutes. Furthermore, the issue of false positives and genuine emails being blocked is practically eliminated. This has significantly boosted efficiency enabling staff to deal with business correspondence more quickly and effectively.
