Social networking site for the military reaches 100,000 members
[UKPRwire, Fri Nov 13 2009] forcespenpals.co.uk, a leading social networking and relationships website for members of the armed forces, is celebrating this week after signing up it’s 100,000th member.
Launched in 2003, the site enables members of the public to send messages of support to troops wherever they are in the World, and provides the Army, Navy and RAF with a way to meet people outside the military environment.
Bruno Mustone, managing director of forcespenpals.co.uk said; “With 9,500 troops currently serving in Afghanistan, support is stronger than ever and our increase in members reflects this. Life on the frontline can be a lonely place, and even one message from back home can really help to boost morale.
“With Christmas coming up we would urge everybody to make the effort to get online and send a message of support to the people bravely fighting on our behalf.”
People who want to write to serving members of the armed forces can register at www.forcespenpals.co.uk.
