Application Virtualisation specialist launches condensed training on all aspects of Microsoft Application Virtualization

[UKPRwire, Wed Dec 02 2009] Virtigo, the Application Virtualisation specialist, has announced its new selection of condensed training courses in all aspects of Microsoft Application Virtualization for IT professionals. The customised courses are based on each organisation’s infrastructure and specific requirements, designed to present cost-efficient training alternatives.

Virtigo is the first service provider to offer Sequencing training over a focussed 2-day course where other courses have previously lasted 5 days and consisted of more general content. IT professionals can now take advantage of a much more relevant and cost-saving alternative to training by eradicating the issues of lost time and expenses.

The training courses are run by qualified instructors with years of experience working with Softgrid and Microsoft Application Virtualization (AppV).

Virtigo can now offer AppV Sequencing training in 2 days and refresher courses that can be taken online to a timescale that is convenient for each individual user. It can also provide weekend training courses for IT contractors.

Paul Coe, managing director at Virtigo said: “Microsoft’s Application Virtualization software makes it possible to run different applications side-by-side without conflicts on a desktop or server so it’s a great time and cost saver for business. It also enables businesses to respond more quickly and perform more flexibly across all areas of operation. Training in AppV is vital for businesses to ensure staff have in-depth knowledge of the solution and its capabilities so that they can deliver on time with consistency.

“We also intend to increase our current training programme by partnering with other world leaders in IT and business training to provide further in-depth knowledge and training solutions.”

One company that has benefitted from Virtigo’s services is Natoli Consulting. As demand increased for their Virtualization solutions, Natoli needed to optimise its use of the toolset and increase staff knowledge of the solution.

Virtigo designed a 2-day course that met Natoli’s timescale and budget requirements. The training was delivered at its head office, which also saved time, disruption and cost of travel to a training centre.

James Baker, head of off-site services at Natoli Consulting said: “I was impressed with Virtigo’s industry experience and knowledge of the product and that they offered a course that was geared towards meeting our specific needs. It was cost-effective and my team achieved exactly what they needed from the training.”

In addition to its latest training solutions Virtigo also specialises in other areas of Application Virtualisation including Consultancy, Software Sales, Support and Managed services.

Virtigo also has product specialists for application packaging and virtualisation products who can help businesses to decide on a suitable Application Virtualization platform for their organisation, advising customers on licensing, upgrades and alternative solutions.
