[UKPRwire, Fri Dec 18 2009] For many of us, one of the fondest memories of being a child is raiding the dressing-up box and pretending to be an exciting new character. That’s probably why two child models with Models Direct loved their recent assignment so much. Ashleigh and Shae-Love were chosen to model fancy-dress outfits for online shop Smiffys.
When Polly turned to Models Direct she was looking for two female child models aged five to six. The girls needed to be cute, energetic and lively to take part in a photoshoot that would showcase the company’s fancy-dress designs.
Both Ashleigh and Shae-Love’s mothers agreed that it was an excellent assignment, especially as it was both girls’ first modelling experience.
“Ashleigh’s first assignment was magical. As a family we enjoyed every minute of it,” Ashleigh’s mum Kerry told Models Direct. “Ashleigh really enjoyed dressing up in all the fancy dress costumes, having her make up applied and especially her hair curled, making her feel like the princess that she is!”
“Shae enjoyed the experience,” mum Selina confirmed. “The best things about the assignment were the staff, photographer, make up and how they interacted with us, as well as excellent communication with Lisa prior to booking.”
Both children earned £70 for two hours’ work, showing that, if your child wants to do it, modelling can be a great way to make some money to put towards their future. It can also be great fun for the children and their parents too!
Child models are required by all sorts of companies for advertising including in magazines and television commercials. If your child is confident and comfortable in front of a camera they could be perfect for commercial modelling work. Just remember that it helps to be flexible concerning time, your child must have a licence from your local council and a parent or guardian must be present at any modelling assignments you receive.
