The SaVVy Club’s® annual event competition has attracted a first class panel of judges, each of whom is looking for the brightest star in the UK events industry.
[UKPRwire, Thu Nov 01 2007] The SaVVy Club’s® annual events competition, supported by both ACE and MPI UK, will provide four event planners with the opportunity of showcasing their talent before some of Britain’s most discerning connoisseurs.
Representing diverse specialities and expertise, the competition judges will be looking for individuals who demonstrate imagination, innovation, business savvy and exceptional planning skills, in each of the four categories - sport, culture, charity and gourmet.
As a noted active charitable contributor, and highly successful business woman/television personality Angela Rippon will be looking to find someone who demonstrates exceptional innovative flair “Fundraising not only provides a vital economic lifeline for charities, it's now a highly competitive business. Overall running costs have to be kept low to generate as much profit as possible for the charity, but you want your campaign to really stand out from the crowd. That requires imagination, innovation and good negotiating skills. A creative entrepreneur is someone who never loses sight of what is important.”
John Lunn, a member of The SaVVy Club® said “It is equally important for the entrants to have sound business acumen – its to their advantage too as the winners will profit from the staged event.”
Speaking from a wealth of invaluable experience to anyone wishing to pursue a successful career in this field, Emma Boardman, Founder and Director of Studio Boardman added “Passion, hard work and focus are paramount to anyone going into business. Creativity and style are key to anyone pursuing a career in this particular field.”
Other judges include Zanine Adams of Visit London, Paul Cook, President of Meetings Professional International (UK Chapter) and Joy Montmorency, Chair of the Association for Conferences & Events.
