Figures released by Recently Moved have identified where the most home moves took place in the UK over the last twelve months.

According to the data, many of the most popular areas for home movers are located outside the south east.

The Birmingham postcode area has 72652 home moves taking place over the last 12 months, followed by Manchester (50053), Belfast (49234), and Sheffield (48927).

Only then does London feature amongst the most popular places for moving house, with East London (48150) and South East London (48143) leading the capital.
