BSkyB claims to be the fastest growing broadband provider in the UK

Sky claims that it has signed all one million customers since its entry into the UK broadband market 14 months ago – making the company the fastest growing ISP in Britain. After facing some initial problems with the service (customers seemed unhappy with the connection speeds at first) Sky has said it is delighted to be the choice of over a million consumers after just 14 months.

"Sky's successful entrance into the broadband marketplace is really down to two factors: its 'giveaway' pricing strategy to existing users, and its massive promotional budget to attract new customers.
