David Hasselhoff Launches iPhone App

A new iPhone app allows fans of The Hoff to ask for advice from the television icon.

[UKPRwire, Fri Oct 23 2009] Former Knight Rider and Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has launched his very own iPhone app.

According to the app, called Ask The Hoff, scientists have downloaded Hasselhoff's brain into the iPhone to dispense wisdom to users. After the user asks a question and shakes the phone, an animated version of the Hoff replies with one of a number of pre-recorded responses, voiced by Hasselhoff himself.

The app was created by Never Odd Or Even LLP, a UK-based mobile development agency.

Over 50 million iPhones have been sold worldwide since its launch in 2007. This week Apple announced a further 7 million handsets had been sold in the three months to September 26, and that sales of the iPod Touch had increased 100 per cent year on year.

"It's a crazy but simple idea and we're delighted to have worked so closely with David and his team," commented the agency's Paul Smith.

"This app gives iPhone and iPod owners the chance to receive spiritual guidance from their favourite bouffant haired Trans Am driving lifeguard."

Ask The Hoff is retailing in the App Store for 59p/99c.
