Models Direct: Top Five Make-up Trends For Autumn/Winter 2010-2011

Models Direct have been eyeing up the latest make-up trends to hit the autumn/winter runways. Read on to find out our top five looks.

[UKPRwire, Wed Sep 15 2010] Red Lips – The trend for red lips continues into Autumn/Winter 2010/11. The key to this look is to go bold on the lips but tone down the rest of your make-up, think chic not vampy. To get a clean finish outline with a lip pencil and fill in using a brush. Try going just outside the lip line to make lips look even more luscious.

Auburn Tones – Think orange, caramel, chocolate tones. Highlight the socket with a lighter shade and line the eye with a dark earthy shade to give a smokey effect. Highlight your cheekbones with bronzer to compliment the look.

Bold Brows – Another Trend that continues to be popular on the catwalks is bold brows. In order to get this look right make sure they’re perfectly kept, you don’t want big to become bushy. Add brow pencil to define the shape, or brush through with a touch of Vaseline.

Mascara Free – This season sees us ditching the mascara and going natural. For many of us though breaking the mascara habit will be all too hard. Try a softer shade or a clear mascara instead to give the same look but with added definition.

English Rose – To highlight a natural look add iridescent blusher to your cheekbones as seen on all the catwalks. Keep the blusher line low so as to not look too flushed.
