The event organised by the Energy Saving Trust focussed on raising awareness on how people could stop wasting energy and cut costs. Some of the measures that were put forward included: encouraging homeowners to fit new double glazing windows to their homes and taking measures to better insulate their property such as installing cavity wall insulation.

These figures that were released by the Renewable Energy Association stress the importance of carrying out home improvement work like fitting double glazing and improving a property’s insulation.
