[UKPRwire, Tue Mar 27 2007] With Easter upon us next week, many people around the country will be looking forward to an Easter egg eating frenzy! Whilst it is great to celebrate Easter and spoil each other a little, UK Energy Saving has been thinking about how we could reduce some of the resulting waste without ruining the fun!

As a result, the UK Energy Saving team has updated their Energy Watch page with some tips and ideas on creating less waste this Easter. www.uk-energy-saving.com/energy_watch.html is updated regularly with seasonal energy saving tips and tricks and a range of suggestions have been published there this Easter.

With Easter eggs usually presented in rather excessive packaging, UK Energy Saving has suggested making your own eggs, either filled with chocolates or, for a healthier option, simply decorated to make a pretty gift. If you do buy Easter eggs, consider purchasing organic or fairtrade varieties and don’t forget to recycle as much of the packaging as possible. The Energy Watch page, www.uk-energy-saving.com/energy_watch.html, also includes suggestions for alternative Easter gifts for both children and adults.

For a range of Easter waste-reducing tips, visit UK Energy Saving’s Energy Watch page over the next couple of weeks and also look out for more seasonal suggestions throughout the year.
