[UKPRwire, Tue Feb 26 2008] National brewer and distributor, Carlsberg UK has awarded 7 Day Catering the contract to manage the catering and hospitality services at their sites in Northampton and Birmingham.
Following a successful tender, 7 Day Catering have been awarded the contract to manage a full catering provision including restaurant, hospitality, supply, operations and vended service.
At the Northampton Brewery site, which currently employs 500 staff, the contract also provides weekend and nightshift services. Carlsberg offer a variety of catering provisions for all tastes, including the “meet & eat” high street style café offering premium coffee, targeting the ‘grab and go’ market with sandwiches, salad and fruit boxes and a range of homemade muffins. The site has been re-branded to reflect the growing need for high quality food and beverages in a high street styled environment.
Moreover, 7 Day Catering have worked closely with Carlsberg to upgrade their main restaurant, improve on-site marketing, new hospitality catering and menu design. Having previously used an outside caterer for hospitality provisions, 7 Day Catering are working with Carlsberg to bring this function in house.
At the Birmingham distribution centre the restaurant has been re-branded to provide a fresher environment complete with new menus. This site will have four catering staff supporting their 350 staff.
Martyn Stockwin, general manager at 7 Day Catering comments: “Our goal is to create a restaurant environment where Carlsberg employees can feel comfortable meeting throughout the day, with an excellent food offer which will far exceed anything available on the high street. 24 hours a day, seven days a week!"
The contract also covers 12 brand new vending machines to clean and fill, offering a choice of foods, premium drinks and confectionery together with a fresh bean to cup offer in the meet & eat café.
