The service is designed to allow individuals to take an ongoing proactive approach to managing their health and well-being, and recognises the importance of taking an individual and pragmatic approach to lifestyle management. The current government proposals to offer Health MoTs, which aim to find those at risk from illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease, will be too infrequent and won’t provide the wider population with continuous practical support and guidance on how to improve their overall health.
