Liverpool man Tony Radford was so moved by his friend’s long-term depression that he created a web page about it – with a twist.
[UKPRwire, Wed Apr 12 2006] Depression strikes millions of people every year, effecting family, friends and careers. Often there is little that a friend or loved-one can do but, except try to be supportive.
Tony Radford decided to try a different approach. Knowing that his best friend, who was suffering a major period of depression, is a keen stamp collector, Tony decided to collect some stamps for him.
However, like many people these days, he does not receive too much mail, especially from foreign countries. So he decided to ask friends for their stamps. Then he had the idea of creating a web page and sending-out an SOS across the web, asking friends to ask their friends to visit his web page. The web page is http://www.abrprojects.com/stamps-for-mike.html
The web page explains the situation and gives an address where people can send their postage stamps. When the stamps arrive, Tony will collect them up and present them to his friend. He is convinced this will kick-start his friend’s recovery.
