Love Hurts - Overcoming Emotional Hurts with Meditation
FISU Meditation Offers special courses to help people over Emotional Hurts after a break up or divorce.
[UKPRwire, Thu Oct 12 2006] We know our life has come to an all time low when the emotional hurts – pains of the heart dominate our every day thoughts! Our heart feels heavy and it is possible to actually feel physical pain in this area – reflective of the mental torture we are going through. With relationships becoming more and more challenging this is something we will all experience at some stage of our life. But do we need to suffer this – can the heart be strengthened without becoming uncompassionate?
Rajesh Ananda – a world leading authority on meditation and personal spiritual unfoldment says “Our suffering comes from emotional attachment. Now, we have to learn the difference between attachment and non-attachment. As the word implies – attachment, means that we are attached to something or someone. If the object of our attachment changes in any way it makes us feel insecure and we feel discomfort or pain. Through non-attachment the object can change a hundred times and it does not affect us, our emotions remain in tact and the heart can still flow without impediment. Attachment means that we are emotionally involved, whereas non-attachment means that we care but we are not emotionally involved or affected by the situation. When you are non-attached you have a greater depth of care and your emotions do not run wild – they are kept in balance, which in turn help you to view the situation with objectivity. When we are attached to anything in life we lack objectivity. So, how do we find that objectivity and non attachment?
The personally prescribed meditation that I teach allows us to step aside from the normal machinations of the mind, and from this new perspective we are automatically more objective – we can look at ourselves from a distance. However, another factor enters this scenario – that of the energy flow of the heart, the flow of love. For, as we are no longer so involved in the mind, through this non attachment, the love energies of the heart can flow more profoundly. In turn, this uplifts us and radiates out to those around us!
So a twice daily meditation can assure greater self esteem through non-attachment and as we are not emotionally involved we can care more and let the heart flow without fear of hurt – our heart is strengthened and love just flows. Through this process we heal the emotional hurts in our life and therefore go into a new relationship without fear or emotional baggage!
FISU’s unique form of personally prescribed Meditation is taught in over 25 UK Centres and is London’s largest non-sectarian meditation school.
