[UKPRwire, Tue May 22 2007] With a boom in demand for coaching, it is increasingly important that people who choose coaching as a career are fully trained and qualified. Recent years have seen many individuals setting themselves up as ‘life coaches’ without any qualification.

In line with the increasing demand for regulation, a post graduate level course in Coaching, leading to an MA validated by Middlesex University, is now available in London from the Institute of Psychosynthesis (www.psychosynthesis.org), through weekend study over two and a half years.

Other new degree courses include Therapeutic Counselling, Groupwork and a Conversion course for counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as a four year Diploma course leading to MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology applied to Psychotherapy with registration to UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).

The Institute holds regular free explanatory Open Evenings enabling interested visitors to meet course tutors and find out at first hand about the theory and methodology of Psychosynthesis. .

Established since 1973, the Institute delivers professional training programmes in the psychology of Psychosynthesis, a psychospiritual framework for healing and professional practice. The Psychosynthesis approach was developed by Dr. Roberto Assagioli (1888-1974). A colleague of Freud and Jung, Assagioli was interested in questions of the Self Realisation and meaning for ones life as a context for mental, emotional and physical well being of the individual.
