Health & Wellbeing: Standard is quality at the British Red Cross

Standard is quality at the British Red Cross

British Red Cross First Aid Training is pleased to announce their success in gaining the ISO 9001 standards accreditation.

[UKPRwire, Wed Nov 12 2008] The ISO award is an internationally recognised certificate demonstrating that the processes employed to control products and services exhibit a clear commitment to quality and the needs of our customers. In order to satisfy the rigours of the independent, external audit that was conducted by the UK's National Standards Body, Red Cross First Aid Training also had to demonstrate their willingness to work towards continually improving efficiency.

The audit process covered all aspects of the work undertaken, including an evaluation of the level of customer service offered and observation of the first aid at work training that we provide.

Although all areas were commended, the training session delivered by one of our lead trainers, Wes Kavanagh, received particular commendation. Wes puts this down to the pride he takes in watching people's confidence grow as they gain practical experience, commenting:

"For me there is no better experience than witnessing the confidence boost that people experience through participating in first aid training. Often, a delegate will come in on the first day of a four day course feeling a little apprehensive and not wanting to join in. By the end of the fourth day they are brimming with confidence, having completed their assessments and are basically feeling ready to deal with an emergency if they are faced with one."

Red Cross First Aid Training has been offering courses for the workplace for over 26 years and delighted that this external recognition of the high quality of service that we provide.
