WRVS chosen as 2008’s supported charity by Lloyds Pharmacy Charitable Fund

[UKPRwire, Tue Aug 19 2008] WRVS has once again been selected by the Lloydspharmacy Charitable Fund to be supported by in-store collections during 2008.

From 6 August to 2 September, all Lloydspharmacy stores throughout England, Scotland and Wales will be taking part in the collection to raise funds for WRVS and our work to prevent loneliness in older people. During this time, all donations made by customers in stores will be gifted back to WRVS.

Lloydspharmacy is the largest community pharmacy chain in the UK and as a responsible health care provider they also actively support the work undertaken by charities. The Lloydspharmacy Charitable Fund began in February 2001.

Chloe Hudson, consumer PR and charity at Lloydspharmacy, said: “The Lloydspharmacy Charitable Fund is primarily concerned with supporting charities relating to health, wellbeing, children and community projects. During 2008 one of the charities that we will be supporting is WRVS. We are privileged to be working with this charity as they are a highly respected organisation which provides valuable services to local communities that we serve.”
