Wyboston Lakes was awash with pink on Friday 26th October when staff and clients took part in fundraising for this years ‘Wear it Pink’ day as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
[UKPRwire, Mon Oct 29 2007] Wyboston Lakes was awash with pink on Friday 26th October when staff and clients took part in fundraising for this years ‘Wear it Pink’ day as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Receptionist, Melanie Naylor is a veteran of fundraising activities and once again persuaded her colleagues to think pink, resulting in many arriving at work in pink shirts, t-shirts and ties. The sale of pink ribbons, balloons and pink buns, specially made by Wyboston Lakes’ in-house baker Gordon Byatt, helped swell the coffers, and at the end of a long but enjoyable day, Wyboston Lakes raised £260.00.
A delighted Melanie said: “every year colleagues really go to town to help make this day a real success. We were very pleased that this year several of our clients also entered into the spirit of things. It turned out to be a fantastic day and we are all delighted to contribute much needed funds to help Breast Cancer Care provide support to breast cancer sufferers and their families across the UK.”
