The Caravan Channel TV programmes, has won major accolades from business and public in this uniquely booming businesses sector.
[UKPRwire, Sat Oct 17 2009] The Caravan Channel, probably one of Britain and Europes most niche TV programmes, has won some major accolades from business and public in this uniquely booming businesses sector.
Broadcast on Information TV, Sky channel 166 and Freesat 402 at 7pm 4 times weekly, and with a new programme every two weeks, The Caravan Channel has produced nearly 80 half-hour programmes over 3 years and caters to the needs of a fast-growing audience.
At this week's International Caravan and Motorhome Show at the NEC, Birmingham, the programme won a major accolade from one of Britains largest and most successful caravan manufacturers, Baileys of Bristol, who launched a new and unique caravan construction system at the show.
Bailey Marketing Director, Simon Howard, said that their inclusion of The Caravan Channel into their PR mix worked well: “A lot of people had done their homework before they arrived, and we picked up a number of orders very early in the day. The opening of the show tends to attract the hard-core buyers, and it’s the ten-year guarantee that has made the difference.” He added, ”So far we’ve marketed Pegasus using the usual mechanisms, but we have used the Caravan Channel for the first time and it’s worked well."
Fast-growing specialist chemical manufacturer Flush-it, whose product One-Chem was reviewed by the programme, and who used the opportunity to give viewers a special offer, said the programme fast-tracked their product to success. Director Hadrian Garner said "On the first week of the TV promotion, our directors were working until 1am finishing packing what our warehouse couldn't get done, and we went from a start-up to major supplier in days."
Programme producer and presenter Chris Gosling said that consumer interest has even changed the way the show is produced. "We were working at the NEC from 8am until after 6pm on two days, but I reckon we lost half-a-day out of that 20-hour total simply because so many viewers wanted to have a chat - and you can't really refuse! So many people wanted to thank us for actually making the programme, because the one-million family caravan and motorhome community are so ignored by so-called mainstream media."
The Caravan Channel, Britain & Europe's only permantently produced TV programme for tent campers, caravanners and motorhome owners, is broadcast on Sky 166 and Freesat 402 by information TV at 7pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 7pm, with an new edition of the programme starting its run every other Wednesday.
It's sister programme, Goodbye, 9 to 5, aimed at the UK's 12 million retired population is broadcast immediate following the show on the three weekdays, with additional daytime showings at 11.30am.
