Goodbye, 9 to 5! Britain's only TV programme aimed directly at retired people, has a report from the Retirement Show, last week at Olympia . . .


[UKPRwire, Mon Jul 20 2009] TV programme Goodbye, 9 to 5! - Britain's only TV show aimed directly at retired people - was at The Retirement Show at Olympia last week, getting impressions of the show and its exhibitors and visitors.

"It was absolutely amazing - the tube going there in the morning was packed, and the show itself was throbbing with people," said programme producer and presenter Chris Gosling.

"It was a great example of a busy, specialist exhibition that clearly caters exactly to it visitors needs - just the outcome we're hoping for in TV terms with Goodbye, 9 to 5!" he added.

The Retirement Show fills the whole second part of edition 4 of Goodbye, 9 to %! which premieres at 6pm on Wednesday 22nd July on niche channel broadcaster Information TV, Sky channel 166 and Freesat 402 It features interviews with charitable organisations and with commercial businesses, ranging from the Townwomen's Guild to Girlings, who specialise in rental retirement properties.

Goodbye, 9 to 5!, Britain's only specialist TV programme for people who are retired or aspiring to retire, is on Information TV on Sky 166 and Freesat 402 at 6pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, with a brand new programme every 2 weeks. New programmes premiere on Wednesday evenings and are shown over a two week period until the next new edition. The producer plans to move to a weekly format in the autumn.
