[UKPRwire, Mon Mar 12 2007] YooMedia, the AIM-listed interactive media, gaming and mobile entertainment group, is gearing itself up to handle a record number of red button donations for this year’s Red Nose Day on Friday March 16th
The company will provide the return path capability, secure data capture and fulfillment of donations made by interactive television for what is the biggest regular television fundraising event in the UK calendar. During the last Red Nose Day in 2005, YooMedia handled more than 70,000 red button donations worth a total value of almost £1.6 million.
In addition to the actual night of March 16th, YooMedia will maintain the interactive payment facility for a further two weeks in order to maximise the full fundraising potential of red button technology.
“Our experience in the development of red button content and return path capability for both red button and mobile phones equips us well to handle an event of this magnitude,” explains Neil MacDonald, YooMedia’s Group Managing Director. “The last Red Nose Day was the biggest yet and we hope to play our part in surpassing it this time.”
