British fashion icon and supermodel Kate Moss will be joined by ‘America’s Top Model’, presenter and supermodel Tyra Banks, for London Fashion Week – but not in the flesh!

Designers from Madame Tussaud’s in London will be creating a specially themed fashion area within the venue from 15 September, in which Kate Moss’s waxwork will be revealed with a brand new look and a fashionista companion!

Her new companion will be a Tyra Banks model that is making a special visit to the UK for London Fashion Week, direct from Madame Tussaud’s New York.
Both waxwork models will receive a makeover to ensure they are looking their best before being revealed to the public.

Moss joined the Tussauds A-list in 2007 and currently appears in a classic, understated little black dress, which will be swapped for a gold evening gown for her new look. Her hair will also be restyled and pulled back from her face, showing off updated party make-up.

Supermodel turned TV presenter Tyra Banks’ waxwork sculpture will join Kate, dressed in a floor-length black gown with a plunging neckline that features a feather detail on the shoulders. Her dress is accessorised with a black clutch bag and crystal earrings.

Guests will be able to pose for pictures alongside the modelling duo throughout London Fashion Week.

Madame Tussaud’s Studios London has been creating wax models for over 150 years now, with each piece taking approximately four months. A team of 20 dedicated sculptors work from over 500 precise body measurements, and insert real head hairs one by one, after which countless layers of paints and tints are applied to build up skin tones.
