Brits afraid to enter property market says National Homebuyers
Buy-to-let property investors are experiencing a rise in tenants demand because people cannot afford to make it onto the property ladder, potentially leading to a rise in people seeking a fast property sale.
[UKPRwire, Wed Apr 23 2008] Paragon has released figures showing that a third of landlords believe that demand is rising sharply.
It is largely down to the global credit crunch which has led to the withdrawal of many mortgages.
This in turn has forced many potential buyers away from the property market, leading to decreased demand, falling prices and a rise in people seeking a fast property sale.
"Young people are choosing to remain in rented accommodation for longer due to the uncertain housing market outlook," said Paragon's John Heron.
The uncertainty of the housing market was highlighted this week when Halifax revealed that UK house prices fell by 2.5 per cent in March.
