St Bede’s is a highly regarded Catholic Junior School in Halton Borough and the school is situated directly opposite Crosby Lend Lease’s new Appleton Village development of one and two bedroom apartments.
As Christmas is a time of giving, developer Crosby Lend Lease has been getting into the festive spirit by donating a living Christmas tree to St Bede’s, which will take pride of place in the foyer of the school. Crosby Lend Lease is also sponsoring a Christmas tree decoration competition for school children, with the winner receiving a luxury Christmas hamper for their family. In the New Year, Crosby Lend Lease is to provide plants, materials and expertise to St Bede’s Junior School in its bid for eco-schools status.
Commenting on the donation of the Christmas tree, Headteacher of St Bede’s Junior School, Angela Paget said:
'We’re delighted with the Christmas tree, it’s a lovely gesture of goodwill and brings a little extra seasonal spirit to the school. We plan to transfer the tree to St Bede’s Church at the end of term and make it part of the Church’s Christmas celebrations. We would like to thank Crosby Lend Lease for this kind gift.’
