Families in financial difficulty say National Homebuyers
Hard working families in the UK are being hit by a rising cost of living, according to a leading Conservative politician.
[UKPRwire, Sun Nov 18 2007] Shadow secretary to the Treasury Philip Hammond said that the recent rise in consumer prices index (CPI) annual inflation shows that many people are struggling.
It is bad news if you are looking for someone to buy your property as it means that fewer people will be willing to take the plunge and enter the property market.
Mr Hammond said that the 2.1 per cent CPI figure recorded in October spells bad news for many families in the UK.
"This is more evidence of Gordon Brown's economic policies tightening the screws on hard-working families," he commented.
"Falling real take-home pay, increased food and fuel prices and rising mortgage costs mean that ordinary families are finding it ever harder to make ends meet," added Mr Hammond.
Fast property sale expert Julian King says, "Many homeowners are looking for a quick property sale solution because they are edging closer to debt.
"Homeowners with concerns over the potential of falling into - or falling deeper into - debt should act quickly. An equity release or Sell and Rent Back option may be just the solution to assist the homeowner.
"Sell and Rent Back is where the homeowner sells their house for up to its market value and rents it back indefinitely. In some cases, until the property market is such that they can afford to buy their own property back".
Mr King is a director of National Homebuyers, the UK's leading Sell and Rent Back provider.
The rise in inflation is said to be down to increasing fuel, food and air travel prices.
