SHROPSHIRE MAN LAUNCHES PROPERTY PURCHASING BUSINESS TO HELP DECREASE REPOSESSIONS
A Shropshire man has launched a property purchasing and development company aimed at helping people across the country avoid repossession.
[UKPRwire, Wed Feb 13 2008] A Shropshire man has launched a property purchasing and development company aimed at helping people across the country avoid repossession.
Repossessions are currently at their highest level for eight years, with figures released last week by the Council of Mortgage Lenders showing that annual repossessions have risen to 27,000.
Silas J. Lees, an ex-Adams’ Grammar School pupil and qualified building surveyor has founded Regal Property Services to try and reduce the number of repossessions and help people who have problems with broken chains or stressful property-related situations.
Silas, from Monkhopton near Bridgnorth said: “We can help people before it’s too late. Even if you have had a repossession order it’s still not too late to negotiate a deal with your lender. We can even come to a deal so that you can continue living in your home.
“The most important thing for anybody in debt is to seek advice. It’s no good for you or your family to bury your head in the sand.”
Across the country, many people are coming to the end of favourable fixed rate mortgage deals and are struggling to cope with high levels of personal debt. Recently released figures from the Insolvency Service show that in the last quarter, over 15,000 Britons have declared themselves insolvent.
