Scotland's property professionals boost business with new network

Thrive for Business launches their first business network for property professionals

[UKPRwire, Sat Aug 26 2006] A firm foundation for the future of Scotland’s thriving property industry is due to get underway this month (Sept) with the launch of a dedicated business network for property professionals – the first of its type in the UK.

Thrive for Business, Scotland’s leading network for small and medium size firms, has started a specialist lunchtime club to cater specifically for the needs and aspirations of every, and any, company connected with property.

Named after a star, because like the universe the potential is limitless, Thrive Noon Chara is the first commercial property club in the UK that measures itself by the business achieved from the network.

Firms looking for business, contacts and suppliers in property will be able to focus their efforts in one place when the club launches on Wednesday 6 September at The Hallion, 186 Bath Street, Glasgow.

Everyone from architects, bankers and surveyors to builders, interior designers and estate agents will be able to rub shoulders and swap business referrals, ideas and contacts.

”Networking is most successful when it’s relevant and property is a classic example. Ideally, property professionals should spend their time meeting and engaging with other people in their world to get business, advance their careers, raise their profile and gain industry knowledge, says Amanda Kremer, Managing Director of Thrive for Business.

”What’s on offer in the property networking world at the moment is just friendly chit-chat over nibbles and speaker events but we can provide something that is 100 per cent more effective than that.”

Thrive meetings are designed to be inspirational, productive and pleasurable as they encourage members to build friendships to create an atmosphere of co-operation and trust so they can tap into the rich seam of each other’s contacts and client base.
”All Thrive meetings are facilitated to maximise the best use of time and resources,” said Amanda.

”Everybody gets an opportunity to address the whole group to explain who they are, what they do and what makes them different and unique in the market place.”

Under the direction of former estate agent and property developer Colin Hamilton, Thrive’s Membership Sales Executive, the new property network will offer members a structured approach to maximising time and resources to form new business contacts.

In keeping with Thrive’s successful policy of offering potential members a chance to “try before they buy” interested companies are welcome to attend two no-obligation visits to see how it works and how they could benefit before deciding on membership.

”If you are a surveyor, property developer or interior designer you want to meet other people in property who can introduce you to good suppliers, good contacts and potential business,” said Colin Hamilton.

”We cut out the hassle and the odds of searching for these kinds of contacts because we bring them all together in one place and provide a forum for them all to engage with each other.
”In addition all our memberships are corporate, so companies can send different members of staff to showcase different property divisions or specialities they have to offer.”
