[UKPRwire, Tue Mar 31 2009] The new DXM bat production process introduced by Gunn & Moore combines a range of techniques which they say improves performance of their cricket bats.

DXM includes superior wood conditioning to improve the stability and consistency of the willow pre-production. State of the art Computer Aided Design. Quantum improvements to the vital bat pressing operation and finally advanced Computer Aided Manufacturing of the cricket bat blade.

Two of their cricket bat models for 2009 have been developed using the new DXM processes and these are the Icon DXM and the Hero DXM. Both models have a range of qualities to suit most budgets and include junior versions too. The Icon DXM and Hero DXM are made in England, using prime English willow and continue Gunn & Moore’s long history of producing quality cricket bats.

The Icon DXM delivers a lightweight design with thick power edges for engineered power. The swell position is high and the bat has a GM Powerarc blade. Its super concave profile and toe complete the look and feel of this bat which has a weight range of 2lb 8oz to 2lb 14oz.

The Hero DXM cricket bat is fitted with a GM Shock-Absorba grip and has been designed for controlled driving power. The Hero has a big sweetspot, low swell position and strong contoured edges. It has a GM Powerarc blade and a new concave profile and toe.

Some cricket bats are fitted with GM ToeTek for added protection against damp and some are pre-prepared for quicker knocking-in. The top of the range models are made to order only as they use the very top quality English willow available and these can be ordered through specialist cricket retailers in-store and online.
