The best riders from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales compete for the Home Nations Championships at Rowallan Activity Centre, just outside Glasgow
[UKPRwire, Thu Jul 16 2009] From Friday the 31st of July to Sunday the 2nd of August, over 3,000 people will visit Rowallan Activity Centre near Kilmarnock for The International Pony Show - one of the biggest events on the British equestrian calendar. At the event, teams made up from the four best riders from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales will compete for The Home Nations Championships.
There will be three teams from the three different pony sizes and the squad for the European Championships and The Nations Cup will be selected from the best riders. The event will take place at Rowallan Activity Centre, just 20 minutes outside of Glasgow, and it is totally free for spectators to come and watch.
The centre, nestled in East Ayrshire’s scenic countryside, provides the perfect backdrop for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of Glasgow’s centre. It also hosts a number of amenities such as a restaurant, shop, an outdoor paint balling centre and an amusement arcade which is open to the public seven days a week. There are already plans for the launch of a large function area later in the year and discussions are currently taking place for more outdoor activities being built at the centre.
